Ramblin' Jack Elliott

Ramblin’ Jack Elliott is considered to be one of the Grandfathers of modern folk music. Having been mentored by the great Woody Guthrie in the 1950’s, Elliot went on to mentor Bob Dylan & Arlo Guthrie about the great folk music of the past and together became major parts of the American folk revival of the 1960’s. In recent years, Ramblin’ Jack has been performing with the same folk standards he always has. In 2009, he reached number five on the Billboard Top Blues album for his album A Stranger Here, which also won a Grammy for Best Traditional Bluegrass Album at the 2010 Grammy Awards.
