Yes & Peter Frampton

Concert Review

Starting in England during 1968, Yes has survived a 42 year career through an ever changing music scene, constant changes in band members, and the occasional rock band break-up. Yes developed a new sound  when they formed progressive rock in the English music scene. A scene which would later go on to change the shape of music. The current line up of the band includes long time members, Chris Squire, Allen White, Steve Howe, also recent additions Benoit David, and Oliver Wakeman.

Peter Frampton grew up as a child musician in the English music scene of the 1960’s. He gained popularity as a member of the teenybopper band, The Herd, at the age of 18. At that time, he was named “The Face of 1968” by the teen magazine Rave. Fast forward a couple of years, where Peter was a member of Humble Pie and did a great deal of studio work with big name acts, such as George Harrison. In 1975, Frampton recorded a live album that took place at four locations in the United States. These live recordings would become "Frampton Comes Alive!".  In 1967, it was named Album of the Year by Rolling Stone. Since the release of "Frampton Comes Alive!", Peter has gone on to star in Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band alongside The Bee Gees, and have an ever lasting effect on the music industry for his work with the voice box.
