As a 16 time Grammy winner, Sting has had an illustrious career as both a solo musician and as a member of the super-group The Police. In 1977, The Police was formed with Sting as the bassist. The Police were together until 1983, when the band broke up. The break-up occured so that each member could work on their solo ventures. From 1983 to the present, Strong has been involved in an abundance of charity work, including organizations such as Live Aid and the Secret Police Man’s Other Ball, and has created some of the most recognizable music to be played on the airwaves.
Some of Sting's most recognizable songs include: If I Ever Lose My Faith in You, Fields of Gold, If You Love Somebody Set Them Free, Desert Rose, and Brand New Day. For this even Sting will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra
